A pit stop en route following excellent reviews! This independent coffee shop in the heart of the town definitely lives up to its online reputation of crafted toasting, delicious roasting and brew coasting. The home made granary bread topped with delicacies of your choice is soulful. A special mention to the tongue teasing chilli jam and crispy halloumi.Service was a tad slow and had to wait 20-30 min, probably recommend visiting outside rush hour.Staff are friendly and considerate. If you need a food fix for brunch and in the vicinity, go get toasted.
Amazing little coffee shop in town.I love the vibe in here, they always make a big effort to decorate the place following the seasons or events through the year and the service is always so great. Everyone is so polite and welcoming.I always go for the “veggie one” and I love it. The food is always so fresh.I really like the sourdough bread.I also love their coffee it’s always the right temperature and I am very fussy about a good coffee!!!
We love coming to this local gem run by Charlotte and Colin, a lovely young couple who always go above and beyond for their customers. Their amazing team of staff are friendly, attentive, and great with families – we always feel so welcome here. Yes, it can get quite busy, especially around peak times, but that’s only a sign of how good it is! We’ve found that if you go a bit before or after peak breakfast or lunch hours, you can usually snag a table without much of a wait. The atmosphere is so cozy and family-friendly, which is why we keep coming back. It’s a popular spot, and we get that wait times can sometimes be unpredictable – it just adds to the charm of this bustling café. We appreciate the honesty of the staff when they can't give an exact wait time, and it’s never been an issue for us because the food and the service are well worth it. Thanks to Charlotte, Colin, and the delightful bunch of staff for consistently making every visit special!
Absolutely amazing food. So happy we came across this cafe. Mom and I had the meaty breakfast. Such good portions. Definitely will be coming back again. The staff are so friendly
Such a wonderful cafe. We visited for the first time today. Lily took our order and served us - what a lovely, happy, friendly lady - made us feel so welcome and valued. The food was fantastic. I had the Avacado on sourdough bread with egg and bacon, along with chilli jam. Absolutely delicious. Look forward to our next visit. A relative recommended The Kettle and told us they do a croissant toasted in a waffle iron and served with a sweet sauce. Really looking forward to trying that!
I had a layover at the airport and the best decision I made was to come to this place, it's a cosy cafeteria where I was welcomed by 3 nice employees. I ordered the full breakfast with a chai late. Definitely a recommended place. The food came out quickly and with quality products, highlight the toast bread and the staff.
Nice little coffee and breakfast place. Comfortable atmosphere. Food was tasty and also reasonably well priced. Really like the fact all drinks came with a little biscuit which is a nice touch. Would recommend for sure.
The food is exceptionally good. Every element of the Meaty Breakfast was perfectly seasoned. The freshly baked sour dough is divine. 10/10 would absolutely recommend, especially as the staff are so polite and welcoming.
